The End of a Season by Balisha
It's the end of a season.. our summer is going..
Fall's in the wings and winds are a blowing
What should I do when I turn off the air..
Clean up the house and give it some care.
The dust that just settled on tables of wood..
Some polish will shine and make them look good.
The closets I'll organize and make them look neat..
Kitchen cupboards I'll tidy.. while sitting high on my seat.
My mind will come next...I need a clear head..
When I come to this desk...after leaving my bed.
A post for the season will come to me now..
I'll leave summer behind and now I know how.
I'll take a quick walk round my neighborhood small..
Looking for fall ....I'll give it my all.
What will I see as I look for a reason..
To post on my blog for a very new season.
Pumpkins and scarecrows and mums of all colors..
Nut breads and baked goods... maybe even a cruller.
The wind in the trees ...I might need a sweater..
Shorts will be gone...jeans will be better.
A fire in the fireplace to ward off the chill..
Afghans and quilts will now fit the bill.
Thinking of things to tell in my post..
This season of fall is one I love most.
So, get ready for reading about all things cozy..
My life is a changing...and everything's rosy.
So come here tomorrow for a post about fall..
My fingers are tapping a post for you all.

Balisha what touching poetry! You amaze me more each day! Thanks for leading us into this season with such meaningful words. I love when a writer gives me clear images....and you my friend have done just that
Your poems are always good and descriptive. Like the reflection too.
