A Sentiment
God knew what He was doing
when He sent a gentle breeze
and brought a lovely butterfly
to set my heart at ease.
The happiness of your friendship
and the gentleness of your words
have touched my life in special ways
and now I feel assured.
Thank you for your loyalty
and for reading everyday.
I only hope you find things
to make a happy day.

A Few Of My Favorite Things
Thought I'd write something about fall this morning...A few things that I look forward to in my house in the fall...
Cozy down on the bed
Fresh air coming in the window
Insects humming out the window
New slippers
Comfy fleecy robe
Fresh coffee smell when I wake up
New fall coffee mug
Hot cereal
Cuties in the crisper drawer
Cinnamon toast
Full fruit bowl on the counter
Old familiar gardening jacket on hook
Worn denim shirt
Jeans worn and comfortable
New crocs
Mums of favorite colors
My big purple aster
Tidying the garden
New wildflower seed
Big sunflower heads
Always and always...my wonderful birds
Chippy with cheeks full of sunflower seeds
New suet for chickadees and nuthatches
The last roses
A fall wreath on the house
My scarecrow sitting on his chair
Pumpkins and gourds
Cheerful sounds of kids getting off the school bus
Autumn skies
Shiny windows
Squeaky clean house
Casseroles
Roast chicken
Chili and soups
Slow cooker
Fall placemats
Candles burning
Dried flowers
Houseplants back in the house
Anticipation of Christmas cactus blooming
Amaryllis
Winter throws on furniture
Basket of books and knitting
Fire in fireplace
Holiday planning
Time for hobbies
Did I say a few things? This list is so long and I could go on forever it seems. These simple pleasures are the things that make me happy. What's on your list?

We share so many favorite things. It is such a nice relief to have fall-like temps. Love curling up on the couch with my afghan listening to football games while I doze. Seem to enjoy nesting in for the long days to come-making the house cozy, etc.
I so enjoyed this post. I agree with your favorites.
What a wonderful list of favorites. This morning I lit a woodsy incense block that I picked up a few years ago because I love the smell of a woodsy fire. I want to get some balsam fir incense as it is really wonderful and smells like Christmas. I found my first of this at a flea market many, many years ago from Paine, which I think is in Maine. I've got their web addy and plan to order some from them.
I'm getting ready to make homemade pizza so this little cottage will be smelling Italian.
The a.c. is running so that's my cool air, and it's a gray, wet, dreary day out, almost feels like winter.
Enjoy your list Balisha.
