A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

I  don't know what happened this morning, but I tried like I have every morning, to sign in to my old blog and it worked. I got in. Now what do I do? Should I contact everyone and tell them to come back here or just let it be? What a confusing week. I've had a computer just quit...because I couldn't turn it on by pushing the button. Tried to get into blog with new computer...no such luck, son installed printer yesterday on this new computer...and now this. It's enough to make a person turn gray :) Well, as I have said many times....just go with the flow, relax, take a deep breath, and smile.
It's a bright morning and we have several inches of new snow. I think that the old snow was getting dirty looking and Mother Nature just freshened it up for us.
We had company yesterday. John and his friend Brian came over to help Joe hook up his new computer. Brian and I got to know each other while John and Joe were head to head doing all kinds of technical things. We decided  to order a pizza to share...and what a pizza we got. It was the biggest pizza I've ever seen. 20 in. full of yummy toppings. I figured that we would finish it with 3 hungry guys, but there were plenty of leftovers.
I brought out the chocolate chip cookies and everyone made room for a couple of these. Mmmmmmm mom's chocolate chips. These have kept their softness by adding instant pudding to the mix...if you want the recipe, I'll post it later.
We visited and watched the Olympics....beautiful performance by our ice skaters....and the people on snow boards made me catch my breath. How do they do it....it seems that they are fearless flying through the air. I always wonder about their childhood....how does a kid progress in this sport  of danger....are they just dare devils as children? Are they the ones who jump off garage roofs? Do their parents shudder, when they go out to play? I know that I shudder when they take off down the ramp....and sometimes fall and get hurt. I guess that it all happens gradually...one step at a time....so that Mom's (especially) can watch with relative calm. Looking forward to more breath taking events.
Well, guess I'll get busy and make some breakfast...I hear Joe puttering around in the other room. Speaking of Joe....his hip and incision are fine...it's his knee and muscles in the leg that are giving him trouble now. He has an appt. to see the Dr. on Tues.so we'll know more then. Until then we'll keep praying that he gets better soon....he's had to deal with pain for so many months.
Have a nice day today....remember Downton Abbey tonight.

Well that is a mystery about the old blog! Which ever one you decide to use, just leave a note on the other one telling us to click on it.
I love pizza AND chocolate chip cookies and look forward to you sharing the recipe.
I do hope you both have a good day. Let us know about his dr. appt.

I just got incredibly hungry. Shame on you.

And I have neither pizza nor cookies and it is snowing out there and who wants to run to the store on bad roads.

Oh well...I just try to work up craving a sandwich, lol ! :) Glad you got this one up and running again and I guess you should save the other one for rainy days ! :)

I would post on your blog the old address and go back to it, where all your earlier posts are. It is strange because I could access your older blog when you couldn't. One of those mysteries of life, LOL.

I think with physical therapy Joe's knee will get better. With his new hip he is walking differently than he has for months and months and his knee has to catch up with the new and improved way of walking!!

Balisha, your post still showed in my Dashboard Follow list as if there is no problem. I checked my email first and wondered what was going on when I read your message.

Sorry to hear about your computer difficulties - I know what getting new or updating is like and it's not fun. I have been getting your post updates through 'feedly' with no trouble, and it's the same blog address you emailed me. So it's all good on my end. Enjoy the Olympics. We have trouble with TV reception of NBC in the winter but we have caught some events online.

I think there is no rhyme or reason sometimes with the internet and our computers. I have a new laptop that I have to fire up and I am so nervous about losing my blog!!

It sounds like you had a great day! And you rewarded your hard workers with scrumptious food! I would love your cookie recipe!

I bet if you asked those dare devil Olympians what sort of childhood they had, they would say yes, we were jumping off rooftops!!

On to a day of baking and making soup. The sun is shining and I'm happy! I'm glad you got your blog back.

XO,
Jane

Technology is wonderful when it works, but so frustrating when it doesn't! I often wish I had a live-in tech person:)

I've enjoyed watching the Olympics, too, but last night I had to make some tough choices--recorded "Downton Abbey" so I could watch the Beatles tribute. It was a great show!
