A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

The Surprise

These pictures are kind of fuzzy...I apologize.  My birthday was yesterday and Joe decided that he would buy two more books of my blog. I had already purchased four of them, in the past....and these last two would bring my collection up to date.
A few years back, I decided that I would start making books out of my blog... due to Joe's encouragement. We thought that something as personal as this...a blog full of "me" would be something that I could enjoy now and my kids will enjoy later on.
It was so easy to do...in a matter of minutes I had made my own book. I now have six of them....and they turned out really nice. I can sit and look through the past year's posts in a comfortable chair... so easily.
I have never been very good about keeping a diary. I would start a new one in January and by March the diary would be there with not much written. I was fairly new to the computer and a friend had started an online blog...I thought, "If she can figure it out...maybe I can." It was so easy to do and since I love being "on" the computer...I keep at it. My blog is an almost daily journal of what goes on in my life. Gardens, cooking, books I read, poetry I write and so many other little things that happen to me daily. My feelings about things are expressed and sometime solutions are found for things that come up occasionally. I can look back, easily, and find out what the weather was five years ago on the current date....what was in the news.....what did I plant that year and what succeeded and what didn't.....what we might have had for dinner. What ever pops into my head.

Joe knew how much I enjoyed the books and took his cue. It was a wonderful birthday present for my 75th birthday. My birthday was kind of subdued this year with no celebration...because I had been ill. We'll celebrate with all my family on my son's birthday in April.
Tomorrow I will do an after Easter post.
Have a nice evening.

What a wonderful idea for a gift! Congratulate Joe for me, will you?

My blog is my diary. My boys can see what is going on in my life by reading mine.
