Sydney's Birthday

It seems twas only yesterday a girl came in our lives..
Our son had met her mother and took her for his wife.
She brought with her two precious girls..Sydney was the older..
A little girl so small and cute...we wanted just to hold her.
We went through her very active life... following each phase..
From tumbling to poms and sports and always such good grades.
She went away to college and then we missed her so..
It won't be long now...this we know..for her to reach her goal
A few short months are all that's left before she adds Dr. to her name.
In my eyes she's all grown up.. but inside she's just the same...
That little girl who's so much fun... and today's her special day.
For it's her birthday, everyone, I really want to say..
When you blow out your candles for wishes to come true..
May you succeed in everything you set your mind to do.
So, put down you books for just a while and celebrate this one..
Your birthday is a special time for you to have some fun.
