A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

A Garden Tour At Dusk

These pictures are pretty dark. All day yesterday the weather man told of storms in our area. We didn't cook out because of the weather forecast. The rains didn't come until late...and then just a few drops. When it started getting dark, I went out and took a few pictures of the daisies. I knew that heavy rain would beat them down. I took a few more pictures of my new little area to sit. Tomatoes are planted in these big containers. The other pots are planted with a couple of herbs...parsley, golden oregano, and thyme. This spot is next to the steps leading up to our deck as you can see. I like to decorate my little sitting areas, so I enjoy sitting there. There's also room for one more...Joe or a neighbor.
There is a little bit of our old chain link dog fence left there behind the hanging basket. I just planted a Sweet Autumn Clematis there...thinking it would climb over the fence and up onto the deck railing. I put a pot there with a Mandevilla. I plan to train it to grow on the fencing as well.
This is my view out toward the woods. There's the clothesline prop with the Jackmanii Clematis growing. There are purple coneflowers at the base of this vine.
Here are the daisies that I wanted a picture of. The wire cage surrounds a tiny rosebush. The daisies will be done soon and I can cut them down a bit, so the rosebush gets some sun.

I visit so many blogs and see the beautiful flowers up close. I do wish that people would take more pictures of the whole garden and show us where these flowers are in relation to the house etc....also where do they sit to enjoy their gardens...I like to see the good, bad and the sometimes ugly sides of gardening. When you show pictures of your gardens...I like to visualize it in my head and feel that I am actually there taking a garden walk.

I love seeing the long shots, too.

All day yesterday the TV showed Michigan in red for severe thunderstorms. I was looking forward to them as rain is needed. I got up this morning and there was not a drop of rain!

Your yard is so neat and tidy. I can now imagine you sitting in your pretty area with a cup or morning coffee.

Hope you get to cook out today.

What a lovely place you have Balisha. I don't have long views like that. We have mostly hallways, nooks, patios and little hidden seating areas. Your photos inspire me to keep working in my not so tidy garden spaces.

Enjoy that peaceful beauty you have created.

we have had so much rain that things are a jungle out there.
I guess I never want to show how bad a gardener I am.
