A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

Monday Bits and Pieces

This little gnome was a gift from  my daughter. He always sits amongst the flowers that she sent me. Several  years ago she sent a basket with different bulbs planted in it. Tulips, muscari, and daffodils. When the basket was done blooming, I planted the flowers together just as they had come. Every year since they have bloomed just like they did the first year. Later on, she sent the gnome...so he sits there each year waiting for the flowers to come up.
I was out for quite a while yesterday doing some puttering. I tidied up the garden by the drive and kept going into the garage to get one tool or another. I keep my garden tools in a bucket with a liner just for that purpose. The bucket was a mess...so I dumped it out and started to organize it. Now it's ready for the season. I put it back and then looked above me at my shelf for plant food, weed killer etc. I decided to clean that up too. I got a trash can and gathered up some old junk on that side of the garage...broken bird feeders, sticks of all kinds, empty tins and anything that wasn't used anymore. Why do we keep broken things? Joe always says that maybe he can use a part of it...so put it on my bench. Sometimes he has done this, but most times whatever it is just lays there. I swept the place where I had worked and now it looks neat. I asked Joe to hook up my new Miracle Grow feeder. I didn't buy one of these last year because of the expense, but this year with me having to take it easy...I decided to buy one. It is so easy to use...you just snap the bottle on and spray. No lugging sprinkling cans or scratching fertilizer in around tender plants. ...just push your finger and spray. I was getting tired by now and so I decided to take a little walk around the house....and that's when I heard her...My wren was back and singing her pretty trilling song. I think that it was the wren that Joe saw on the little house above the clematis. Sparrows had started building in that house, but now the wren is here...so move out sparrows.

I have one of those Miracle grow sprayers and they are so handy Balshia. We do the same thing around here about laying stuff up thinking we can use it for something someday.Seems we on the other hand never d use the stuff.LOL! I will get tired of looking at the clutter and toss it into the trash. But you know as soon as you toss it away you come upon a use for some of it every time.LOL!

I need to check out this sprayer! I'm always having to mix up a batch and pour it when I water. And then my fingers are stained blue! LOL
