A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

Yum

I was in a pinch for a dessert and found that I had a can of Grands biscuits in the fridge. There were a couple of cans of cherry pie filling in the pantry. Maybe this recipe has been around for a while, but I never remember seeing it. I took the cherry pie filling and put in a greased 9x13 pan, Then I broke the biscuits into 4ths and made little rough balls. I melted a stick of butter and made up a cinnamon sugar mixture. I rolled the balls in the butter and then the cinnamon sugar mixture. Plopped them on top of the cherries. I used two cans of cherry pie filling.  One can of biscuits was enough to cover the top of the pan. Put this in the 350 deg oven for about 20-30 min or until browned. The biscuits puffed up and it smelled divine I served it warm with a scoop of French vanilla ice cream...or a spoonful of cool whip. It turned out so nice and was delicious. Balisha

Hi Balisha! I've done something similar and they are wonderful. You are right. Those canned cherries are such a great way to fix a quick dessert.
I rolled the buscuits out into a circle, filled them with the cherries, folded them over crimped the edges and fried them in hot oil, then sprinkled them lightly with powdered sugar. Cool slightly and have with breakfast coffee. I think anything you do with those cherries is a hit!
I must try with the buscuits on top..less trouble. :)

Mona

That sounds so delicious! That would be a great last minute desert idea too when in a rush. Thanks for sharing.
