A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. A Walk Outside

A walk outside today, found me searching for signs of spring. As usual the daffodils and snowdrops are the earliest flowers to break ground. I had forgotten that daffodils were on the corner of the front porch garden, when I planted the clematis last year. I guess they will be all right, because the clematis will start growing and will bloom later. Right near the daffs were some grape hyacinths. They always look kind of messy first thing in the spring. The stems are long and just lay in a mass where the flowers will start popping up. This is funny.....last year, I trimmed the clumps and made them look neat. Talk about wanting perfection. I'm not going to do that this year. The two rose bushes nearby have leaf buds on their stems. The sedums are showing new growth near the base. I stayed in the front yard, because it was wet and I didn't have the right shoes on. If it's nice tomorrow, I'll go out with a camera and walk around the house. I can spy a little green in front of St. Francis in the woods. I'll have to check there too. I was reading that we should start our garden cleanup when the daffs break ground. There are many little branches on the lawn...I might pick those up tomorrow though. I think it's a little early for starting a cleanup...we may still have a big snow.
I came back in the house and finished my project that I started yesterday. I was cleaning my closet.I went through the shoes. I have quite a few that aren't comfortable anymore. Why do we keep these shoes? Do we think that we just might wear them once more? I put several pair in the boxes and will give them to Goodwill. I have so many sweatshirts that take up so much room. I don't wear half of them, so I kept the ones I wear and stacked the others on the high shelf. I chuckled to myself...I seem to wear the same comfortable clothes each week. Does everyone do this...or is it a sign of old age? I have to be comfortable to do my housework. Then I took my Christmas clothing downstairs to my storage area and brought up some more springy things. No, I'm not jumping the season...just getting things ready.
Have a nice evening,
Balisha

I too wear the same clothes every week. I too have tons of sweatshirts I never wear--but they are hanging neatly in the closet waiting for me to pick one of them--maybe today I will. Such a mild winter we have had--I keep waiting for that big snow storm--maybe it won't appear?
