A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

Drake's 2nd Christmas

This was great grandson Drake's 2nd Christmas. Last year he was just a tiny baby, but this year he's a little toddler...walking, running, beginning to talk. His gift from us was a rocking horse. We left it in the box so Daddy could put it together. This little man entertained himself, and us, by playing with the strap that held the box together and saying, "Dog" We all tried to get him to say, "Pony" but he insisted that it was a dog. He then went on to the potato chip container...and brought them to us. He loved the clip that was keeping it closed, but when he found out that he could open it...we heard a very little, "Pweeze" with that winning smile of his. He tipped his little head, as if in a shrug, and said, "Pweeze"again. How could we resist? We had the stairway barricaded with chairs...he would go toward the stairway and shake his head and say, "No!" With all the trappings of Christmas, he was entertained with the most simple things. His needs are simple... dry pants, his food, a place to sleep and just the simplest of things to play with. I know that some who read this will say, "What's so unusual about what this baby does?" We simply love him and anything he does is a miracle to us.

What a sweetie. They grow so fast or maybe it is time passing so fast for us. LOL!
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas with the families.
Have a Blessed New Year. Hugs.
