A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

My Thoughts a Year Ago.

The year has gone by so fast. Last year at this time, I was being prepped for brain surgery. It was one of the most difficult things for me to go through. I went back, last night, and reread some of my posts from that time and thought that I would repeat the Sept. 1st post. The surgery went well and there are no after effects. This month, I have to have another MRI just to see if everything is OK up there. I'm not looking forward to it, but since I've had no headaches or other symptoms, I guess everything is OK. Thank you again for all your support through this past year, with my surgery and Joe's.

Well, this is the day before surgery. I am feeling pretty calm about it now. I want to thank all of you who have taken the time to read and leave comments here in the past week or so. It has made the time go faster and has meant so much to me. I sure do a lot of thinking early in the morning...like 4:30 this morning. I was thinking about how I really don't know any of you. Some of us post pictures on our blogs, but many don't. We don't really know if bloggers are black or white, rich or poor, young or old...and it doesn't matter to us. Wouldn't it be nice if the whole world was one big blogging community and we all accepted each other with our differences? I tend to look at the world through rose colored glasses anyway.....When I sit here at my computer writing something on my blog....I picture a person sitting in the next town at their computer waiting for a message from me. You may be in Norway, the Philippines, or Kentucky...I feel like you are very close and I am carrying on a conversation with you. I never dreamed that blogging would be like this, when I started over a year ago. It is so helpful in my everyday life. I hear other's problems and joys and tell mine. I check a couple of times a day to see if you have left a comment. I have started putting poems here....I never would have had the courage to share them with so many people. Seeing how I picture one person reading...it's easy. If I gave it much thought, when I first posted a poem...I probably wouldn't have done it. Now poems are in my head all the time. They are very simplistic, I know, but for some reason I want to write them down. We all have shared our triumphs and failures in our gardens. I've seen photography like no where else. Flowers have always been a passion and seeing some of the pictures that you all take is such a gift. We post a favorite recipe and pictures of our families enjoying the results. Art and crafty things have always interested me....so many artistic people are bloggers. Finally, sharing things about our families...photos of kids and grand kids...spouses, our beloved pets. We all share parts of our lives without ever knowing each other. I wish everyone had this experience. Just knowing that prayers are going up for me from many parts of the world, is such a peaceful feeling. I am going to leave now and get this surgery behind me. Joe will be blogging starting tomorrow and he will let you all know how we are doing.
Thanks...from the bottom of my heart...Balisha ((hugs))
