It's Valentine's Day. Yesterday, Joe left for physical therapy a little early. He just recently started driving to therapy. He made a stop at the store first. He got out of the car and using his walker, walked to the floral department. He picked out what he wanted and the girl told him that she'd make it up for him. He told her that he had an appointment at therapy....she said that she would look out the window to watch for him and then she would bring them out to the car. That way he wouldn't have to come all the way back in. After therapy, there she was, and the two of them figured out how to hold them secure in the cup holder. I told about this girl in a post... a while back...and this is what I mean about shopping in little local stores. They are all so friendly and go the extra mile for their customers.
Most of you know that Joe had his hip replaced the day after Christmas. He was just at the doctor and the hip is fine and the incision is healed...the only thing wrong is the edema in his thigh and some bursitis. He had his knee replaced 15 yrs. ago....and of course it's on the surgery side. He's been having pain there too. So, for now, until they get the leg back to normal, he will have to use a walker. Knowing how hard it was for him to do this, makes these flowers extra special. He couldn't let Valentine's Day go by without getting me something.
I know that Joe reads this blog...so just want to say how much I love you.

Very sweet Balisha.
May you and Joe have a lovely Valentine's Day and may Joe feel God's healing strength flowing through him.

What beautiful roses. Glad to hear he is on the mend. It takes time and we are impatient people at times. But slow and care will do the best. Hopefully the pain will lessen with the healing. He probably will feel the weather as always though. I know my body does. :)
Happy Valentines day to you both.
What a beautiful valentine post, Balisha. The flowers are so extra special because of all the extra effort Joe went to.
Happy Valentine's day to both of you!
Joe? Do you have a male friend, as sweet as you, who needs a girlfriend?
I had a lot of swelling in my lower leg and foot after my hip surgery--physical therapy will take care of it. I know it takes a long time to get better, but every time we get a new replacement part--we can take two years off our age to make us younger. Heard that from my surgeon--he said to go to DMV and get the birth date on my driver's license changed from 1939 to 1941. LOL.
A belated Happy Valentine's Day, and what a special lovely story about your Joe's quest for the perfect gift. So sweet!
Just awesome! Happy Valentines' Day to you two love birds.
How wonderful and with such an effort. Glad Joe is making progress and hope the other issues clear up quickly.
