A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

A Cup of Tea

Here's a quick recipe for a cup of spicy goodness for a chilly afternoon. Get your favorite tea cup (microwave safe) or mug and make a cup of this. I learned about the lemon slice at a luncheon that we had at our garden club. The hostess was serving hot tea...on the table there were sugar lumps and a plate with lemon slices, halved with a clove in them. Such a pretty touch for a cup of tea. You could actually put the clove in a small piece of orange if you wish.

1 cup cold unsweetened natural apple juice
1 pinch cinnamon
1 pinch nutmeg
1 tea bag (use your favourite variety)

Directions:
1 Pour apple juice into a microwave-safe mug, add spices, and nuke at full power for 1 1/2 minutes or until it is hot, yet drinkable.
2 Remove from the microwave and steep the tea bag for as long as you like; I like a mild tea flavour so I just swish it around for about 15 seconds.
I like to float a thin lemon slice with a couple of whole cloves in my cup.
3 Remove tea bag and drink immediately!
