A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

My Daughter Came to Call

She came at half past 10... bringing gifts all wrapped in pink...
They were so very pretty.. and I began to think.
What's in those packages? I wanted just to shout.
Her presents are so fun...she knows me inside out.
The first.. a bubble maker to remind me of old days..
When my little ones loved bubbles and took them out to play.
And then an etch a sketch...to give my brain a whirl..
Which knob to turn to make a line and not a crazy swirl.
Some little boxes...they were next...I wondered what I'd see..
I opened them... some red birds.. to hold some candles wee.
The next two boxes were filled to brim with candles for the pair..
Some delicious scents of tasty treats to fill the kitchen air.
I loved the gifts...they were so cool..I had to try them out..
To the door I ran with bubbles ... I almost gave a shout.
This gift brought back some memories...I tried hard not to cry.
I filled the air with bubbles...did you see them in the sky?
We had such fun just yesterday...we talked and talked till late..
I love this girl for coming and help me celebrate.
We don't see each other often, but every time she comes...
We talk about the old days and memories full of fun.
