A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

A Cooler Day

We woke with a start this morning...what was that cool breeze blowing on us? The window open wide was shut in a hurry...brrrr the weatherman was right...in the 40's. We have been experiencing some really warm weather. I'll have to confess that I haven't been too pleased with the hot weather. I need to slowly acclimate my body to the warmer temps. This sudden change back to normal temps will charge my battery and get me going. I have been running around in winter clothes...I got a couple of cooler outfits out to wear until I could get my closet revamped. Now, I have the energy to start doing some projects here in the house for summertime. My clothes will come first in case the heat returns.

The poor eagle in Decorah, Iowa has been having a tough time too. Sitting there in the heat with her beak open and panting... while she sits on her nest for days. The eggs should be hatching any day now. Yesterday I found a new site...a hummingbird on a nest with a cam in California. http://phoebeallens.com/ From one of the largest birds to the smallest is fun to watch. Just reading about the differences in how they care for their clutch of eggs.

Joe's computer crashed this weekend when someone sent him an Ecard for his birthday. The virus totally destroyed his computer and he had to buy a new one. This time he bought an apple computer and is now in the process of learning how to operate it. He's in his late 70's and change doesn't come easy. We have both learned from this experience...be very careful what you open on your computer. You'd think a birthday card would be OK, but I guess that there are people out there that just have too much time on their hands and like to mess with people.

We ladies who work on the funeral luncheons at Church are being treated to lunch on Wed. Our Priest invited us all to a lunch that he will prepare himself. I understand that he is an excellent cook. I asked him if I could help...he said, "It's time for you ladies to be treated to a meal that you didn't have to fix." I told him that this was a first for us. It will be a real treat for all of us.

Well my work is waiting and I do have energy this morning. So, here I go, but first I have to see how the eagle is doing :)

Good morning, my friend! I watched constantly when the Eagles had their last babies. I haven't watched this time but I know they are ready to hatch. A friend of mine has kept me informed of their every move.
I know about the hummingbirds too. I watch them last season also. Aren't they adorable..and those itty bitty eggs! So sweet.

The Crepe Myrtle in front of my porch is all full of different bird feeders now..and it's just wonderful. California doesn't have the variety or color of birds that the East Coast does..but still they are wonderful to watch..

I am going to put up a hummingbird feeder but ..the ants are so agressive. But..I am going to try it anyway.
I am so sorry about your husband computer and you are right. Howard is in his late 70's too, 78 to be exact, and when his computer went he was really upset and had to learn the new one..it was a trying time.
Recently something was sent to him by my bank and when he opened it they asked for all sorts of info. He asked me and ..it was a scam. We called the bank! Since then he has been unable to use his "Outlook Express" for emails.

Why people want to cause people they don't even know harm..is beyond me!
Thank you for stopping by. :) I also..ahem..save little boxes!! :):)
Love and hugs,
Mona

That little hummingbird is so cute and she does all the work herself.

I had something happen on my computer, so I can't use outlook express either. I loved your post this morning, Mona...Balisha

I am so sorry to hear about Joe's computer. I read that card sites are one of the worst sites for viruses.

The weather changed here, too. It's only in the 30's today. Back to normal.........

I am going to check that hummingbird site now. Thanks for sharing with us.

I was never able to get the eagle site to open, Balisha. I would love to watch the action.

Hi Zoey..
We'll never open a card again. Our weather is changing today...a little warmer. There's a hole in one of the eagle's shells...so it will be anytime now.
