A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

Do You Want More Comments?

I have had trouble leaving comments on a few blogs. I have told some people what to do to make it possible...even easy for us to leave those comments we love. Marty of http://astrollthrulife.blogspot.com/ tells it so well on her blog. I asked permission to copy it and put it here..

This from Marty....

You may be missing out on receiving comments and don't even know it. There are a lot of blogs that are self hosted and if you don't have the right comment form for your blog, then they can't leave a comment.I received an email from a blogger - My 1929 Charmer - telling me she had linked to my party and wanted to leave a comment, but couldn't. It seems that if you don't have the form that allows someone to click "name/url" that several different kinds of hosted blogs are unable to comment on your posts. This is the form you need for everyone to be able to leave a comment.

It's really easy to change your setting so this is the form that comes up.
1. click on Settings
2. click on comments
3. scroll down to where it says Comment Form Placement and click on Full Page
That's all there is to it. Also if you still have word verification, please turn it off. It isn't necessary since blogger has installed up to date spam detection and you are loosing tons of comments because people won't take the extra time it takes to go through this step. Also, some boxes pop up so slow after you leave a comment that you don't even know you are suppossed to do a word verification.
Two really simple fixes so you can receive all of the comments that fellow bloggers wish to leave you.

Thankyou, Marty, for putting it so well. I hope this works for everyone.

Hi Sweetie...
I just changed mine as I was reading. Thank you and Marty both for sharing. I had no idea.

How are Roamy, Juliet and Ansel? Are they ready to go to their next home? Have they already gone? I so enjoyed seeing your write about them sweetie. Just precious.

Have a great weekend. Country hugs from Phoenix, Sherry

Changed my settings after reading this and remembering you had a problem leaving a comment on my blog. Let see if it works...

Well, I've tried it! I do think I am getting all my comments, but I dislike the verification captcha, so I turned mine off.
Thanks for the good advice!

Thanks Balisha,

I did change to the full page. It is too bad that Blogger does not publish this, or maybe they did and we didn't understand it.

I hope this works out for everybody. Marty wrote the post and I decided to repeat it here in hopes that it would help everyone who has been affected by this problem. I know that I get a little impatient...waiting for blogs to open and then when I can't comment easily...sometimes I email the person, or just let it go.I thank Marty for starting this...maybe others could post it on their blogs then word would get around and everyone would know about it. Hi Sherry...The gnomes are on their way to Mona's in California.

We really enjoyed having them and I know that Mona will show them a good time. Maybe even a bit of garage sales LOL
Have a great weekend. Balisha

Hi Balisha,
Thanks so much to you and Marty for getting this information out. Eileen just sent me here as she was having quite a time commenting on my blog.

I changed mine and I hope everyone has an easier time now.
