A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

A New Day

What a great day yesterday was. I was glued to the TV. It was a beautiful day in our capitol...what a fabulous city. From the beginning...going to Church, breakfast with the President and First Lady, the doings at the capitol, the parade, the balls...I was enjoying each minute. They are a wonderful, caring couple. You can see it in everything they do. I especially loved watching the little girls. You can tell by their behavior that they have been raised in love.

The Bush family made this transition easy for the Obamas. I think that they are a kind couple...and that President Bush did the best he could. I hope they got on that plane and felt a sense of relief...that it was all over. They can go back and pick up their lives and not have the stress of a job that was too much to handle.

Well, this morning starts a new day for our country. I just know that they are going to do a good job and will make us proud of the Presidency once again. We should all give them a chance...it can't be done in a day. What we have to really understand...and President Obama has said it in one way or another....over and over again...we all are in this together. We made the mess and we have to help clean it up. We all will have to make sacrifices and not complain when it's our turn to do our share. I helped put him in the White House and I want to help now.

We will all need to become a volunteer nation to make it work. We will have to be able to sacrifice as we did during the second world war.

My thoughts exactly, Margie. We have had it so good...it will be hard for some to change their ways. They will be the ones to complain about the progress.
