A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

Easter Lilies in October. A nice surprise.
I took a salad to Church, early this morning, for a funeral luncheon and then home to get the yard work done. The grass needed mowing and we did it in record time. Not being so hot, was a help. The critters were busy burying their treasures in the woods......probably planting trees. A flock of geese flew overhead. There is definitely a chill in the air. The down comforter is on the bed. I have an Easter lily blooming in the side yard. We bring them home after Easter and I just stick them in the ground. This one bloomed at Easter time on the altar and then again now in my garden. We had a quick lunch and then out to trim the River Birch. The branches are lying on the edge of the roof and leaves are in the gutters. My hubby was on the ladder with the trimmer and I was underneath getting bombarded with falling branches. We piled them up and will take them back to the woods tomorrow. Too tired today. We have chairs place around the yard for resting. We rested. We thought of going to Mass at 5, but that thought went by the wayside...we are pooped. We'll go in the morning.

We went out to dinner last night and I had some delicious salmon. I brought some home and tonight I am making a tuna casserole...going to add leftover salmon to that. I thought of renting a movie, but neither of us wants to drive into town....so we decided to have a Jodie Foster movie marathon this weekend. We have several of her movies recorded and will just watch those.

I changed the font size on my computer today. My eyes get strained with all the reading, artwork, and computer things that I do. I thought to myself....Why not make it easier and make the type bigger? I like it.

What a lovely surprise in October. I love Easter Lillies, I gave some to my grandmother years ago & she planted them in her garden. They came up & bloomed every year.

Hi Racquel,
We used to have a wooden frame that held lilies in the shape of a cross. It was on the floor in front of the altar...raised up so all could see it.It held maybe 24-30 lilies. It was beautiful.
