A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

Today is the day that I am working in the woods. We had rain last night, so it is wet right now, but cooler. The picture was taken two years ago...so things have changed somewhat. Right now there are lots of wildflowers blooming. Lots of purple phlox...a first this year. It is starting to shape up. I have these iron pieces that look like Church windows to me...my hubby says that parts of it look like a graveyard hmmmmm men! They don't have the same eye for things...like women do. I have a grass that grows along the front edge of the woods. It is getting too tall...so I crop it about this time of the year. Cut it half down...then you can see the plants behind it. I love working back there and the critters are used to me and don't hide so much anymore. We have an oriole nest high in one tree. Fun to watch them flying back and forth from our deck to their nest. Little wren still is flitting between the birdhouses. She just won't let a bluebird in. They give up and move on to the forest preserve just down the road.

I could hardly get to sleep last night. The (I call them) spring peepers were trilling so loud. Lots of them. We have a big pond next door and it is alive with things right now. This is the best time of year for me.

Great blog Balisha!! You're off to a fantastic start! I really get a sense of what is happening in your yard...sounds like a busy place:). Spring is my favorite time of year as well.

Your location sounds wonderful to me. I so miss the Spring Peepers of my childhood. I played in the woods, too.

I found you on Blotanical and came over to visit. I am a senior blogger, too. We live in Kentucky.

I will read some more now.
