A Sentiment
God knew what He was doing
when He sent a gentle breeze
and brought a lovely butterfly
to set my heart at ease.
The happiness of your friendship
and the gentleness of your words
have touched my life in special ways
and now I feel assured.
Thank you for your loyalty
and for reading everyday.
I only hope you find things
to make a happy day.

A Family Matter
“I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.”
― Mother Teresa
When the doctor handles you that little bundle from Heaven...your life changes forever. You take care of that little package, watching as he develops into a little child... taking that first eagerly awaited step. Your child starts leaving home when he takes that first step. This little child doesn't belong to you...he is one of God's creations and only loaned to you to care for.You hope and pray that his life will be happy for him, and if there are problems he will be strong enough to face them. You do your best to help if asked...but that is all we can do as mothers. We may see things that need changing, but soon learn that we can only change ourselves not someone else. One of my kids was hurting this past week and the Mother in me started to take over. At first I was finding myself almost breathless, I knew this wasn't doing anyone any good. I had only felt this way once before. Joe had gone to run errands and I was home alone. I have a yoga DVD and at the very end is a part where you sit on a chair and just calm yourself..... concentrating on each part of your body...it worked. After that, I felt ready to face this problem. Things got better by week's end and now the crisis is over. There is hard work ahead and all I can do is show my support, listen, and pray. He is strong and will succeed.
It seems we all handle problems differently. The way I handled the situation was to shut the world out. I didn't talk to friends and stopped blogging for a few days. There were countless calls between family members and visits to be made. We took care of this as a family...and hopefully it's the right way to do it. It's a personal thing...and I want to respect my families privacy. I hope you understand. I do appreciate prayers...Thanks so much, Balisha
