A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

Waiting

Advent is all about waiting.  Little children have to wait each day to open the little doors and windows on their Advent calendars. They wait for Santa to come.We wait for the day to get the tree and put it up. Presents are under the tree...and little ones (and big ones) have to wait to open them. We have to wait for the right time to bake those special treats of Christmas. We wait for all the candles to be lit on the Advent wreath in our Church. We wait to put the baby Jesus in the creche for Christmas Eve. We wait to sing the carols that tell of Jesus' birth in our Church. Most importantly we must wait for the birth of Christ. In these days of instant everything, it's nice to be patient and have something to look forward to. Just like we wait for the seasons to change and our children to grow....it takes patience. All of these things...the Advent Wreath, Advent calendars, the Creche, the carols etc are symbols of Christ, the light, coming to dispel darkness or sin in our lives.Let's be patient and not forget the reason for the season.
