A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

Wreath Making

Here are some pictures from the day I made wreaths for the Church and the Priest's house. I am just seeing that when I put in the overlay of holly, one was forgotten and is across the first top picture. I'm not going to change it...you'll just have to imagine what's behind the  holly.
Making the wreaths is easy, but the cleanup is work. Luckily Joe stepped in and helped his tired wife out by blowing out the garage and vacuuming out the trunk of the car. We took them over to Church that evening and now they hang  on the doors.
It's just a little something that we can do to help make our Church pretty at this time of year. This was the first year that I was asked to make wreaths for the Priest's house. He's having an open house soon, so he needed some decorating done.
This morning I wrapped all of my gifts to everyone. Joe did his yesterday. I have baked and put goodies in the freezer and our cards are in the mail. We are way ahead of the game this year. Now, we can sit back and enjoy the season and what it brings. Several doctor appointments are coming up in the next two weeks. I don't know how this happened...going to the Dr. at Christmas time. Hopefully we will get good news and then we can really relax.
Today is cold and bright. I bought a plain, rose colored, sweatshirt for a resident at the local nursing home. I'm going to dress it up this morning, by painting some flowers around the neck. The residents love sweatshirts. I guess that they are warm, comfortable, and easy to launder.
Well, I guess I had better get started. Well, restarted, my day began a couple of hours ago and then I stopped here to rest. I'll be back later today to tell about my shopping experience at Kmart.

You make real wreaths? Wonderful. I'll bet they make everything smell Christmasy. You are ahead of the game. We have the decorations up now. Love having the lights in the house. I have the trees and everything on timers so they go on when our alarm goes off and we're greeted by Christmas lights as we come downstairs.

My car still smells like Christmas.
I'll bet your house is so pretty. Clever to have the lights on timers. We just have our outdoor wreath on a timer.
