A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

The Flying Hotdog

Well, Molly has come and gone. They picked her up about 8pm. It took her about 45 min. to settle down and feel at home here. She is so well behaved...a pleasure to take care of. The little neighbor girls did come over to play with her in the afternoon. When they left I read for a bit and Joe napped. Where do you thing Molly was....in bed with Joe of course. A funny thing happened while we were eating supper. I was so hungry for hot dogs, so I fixed them and baked beans, corn on the cob, sliced tomatoes from our garden, and other relishes. We are careful not to feed Molly from the table, because they have her trained so well not to beg, but what happened couldn't be helped. She sat between us and was being very vigilant about what going on. Now, I love Chicago style hot dogs...full of all kinds of goodies along with the dog. I had the bun filled with sliced tomatoes, relish, peppers, onion, mustard, and catsup. As I was taking a bite...all of a sudden the hot dog slipped out of the bun and shot across the table and into Molly's eagerly awaiting mouth. I had never had this happen before and it probably won't happen again. Molly was as surprised as me. That hot dog was down in one gulp. That dog could be a catcher for a major league baseball team! She never moved out of that spot...the hot dog came right at her. After she gulped it down...there she sat as if nothing happened. Joe and I were laughing hysterically...well I was anyway. When it was time for her to go...we both said goodbye and told Randy to bring her over again soon. We had such fun with her.

Chuckle! That is too cute! And I'll bet it was welcomed with an eager mouth.
Hope Joe is better.

Have a beautiful day ~

You must have been really clutching that bun to make the hotdog pop out! How funny.
And the dog appreciated it!
