This is the last of the iris. I thought I would frame it for a proper ending. It takes it's name from the Greek word for rainbow...because of the many colors it comes in.Actually, they are perennial herbs growing from rhizomes.
Many artists have painted these beauties...including Vincent Van Gogh. I was given a clump a couple of years ago and planted it by the side of the house. It has done well there and given me many bouquets. I love the simple color and the beautiful fragrance. It's one of the flowers that I hate to say good bye to, but I know it will be back again next year.

I need some irises to add early color and some height to the fence line. The lady at the garden center said I should find someone who is willing to divide some and share with me. I guess I'd better walk the neighborhood and see who might cooperate! LOL
Beautiful finish, Balisha. I love mine also & planted them so there are blooms for several weeks to enjoy. They are so gorgeous a beauty.

Have a beautiful day ~

I love Iris too, Balisha. My sister gave me some hybrid Iris years ago and that's something I can remember her for. She's getting worse every time I go to see her.
Oh how pretty Balisha. I love them too. The blooms just go so fast.
