His picture in the paper added to his fame.
I spied his little picture and read about this bunny..
He needed a new home...he didn't cost much money.
I hurried in my car... to the shelter in the city..
I thought to euthanize him would be.. oh such a pity.
He sat so quietly in the box right next to where I was..
A quiet little bunny... a little ball of fuzz.
When we got home he raced around.. he really was a scamp..
He found that he could hide behind the table with a lamp.
I saw him chewing something from the corner of my eye..
It was the cord behind the lamp...it made me say "Oh, my!
"We'll have to watch him closely when he is on the run"..
So hard to keep right up with him..it really wasn't fun.
A hutch was built in our backyard.. for him to live all day..
Except the times when he was loose and with him we did play.
We had our own little Easter bunny a few long years ago..
He was a scamp I'll have to say and put on quite a show.
We really enjoyed this little one who came to us one day..
Soon after Easter we rescued him.. it was the month of May.

How cute, Balisha!
Happy Easter Balisha Sweetie...
What a happy, happy share. I love the little bunny, and he was rescued which makes him even more special. Such a precious face.
Love your poetry dear one, you are SO talented. It was priceless. Thank you so much for blessing me with your friendship. Many hugs and much love, Sherry
Hi Balisha and Happy Easter to you and Joe. I hope it is a wonderful weekend. I have enjoyed catching up on your blog this morning and loved the poem about your bunny friend. Like you, I am slowing down with age. We had some really warm weather, too, and now it is in the 30s at night with frost. I want the warmer days back. I don't mind the heat at all. I want to plant stuff. Thank you for coming by and happy late birthday to you, too.
Sweet story.
Have a lovely Easter/Resurrection day.

Awwww..Balisha...that was so sweet. Would you believe I was crazy enough to consider buying a little bunny to keep Mele company..but I thought better of it. At this age I'm afraid I would never be able to catch him and Patient Husband would probably lose finally lose patience with me, competely! :)
Happy Easter, Balisha...you are such a dear friend to all.
Happy Easter and tell Joe I said "Happy Easter" too. :)
Love and hugs,
Mona
Hope you had a wonderful Easter, Balisha!
Loved the poem - what a lucky bunny, and so cute. We had a couple of bunnies when my kids were small. They were very sweet, and so soft and cuddly. I can't say I miss them though - they were very messy!
I love it!!! Always had bunnies for pets when I was a kid--they lived outside however--Daddy said, "Animals don't belong in the house."
