My little Christmas tree is now a Valentine tree. I made these doily and watercolor valentines a few years ago and saved them in a heart shaped candy box. My son, John, surprised me with the candy a few years ago. I couldn't throw the box away...so I stored my paper hearts in it. I found them last week while tidying up the Christmas bins. I thought I would use them on the little tree instead of the arrangement of bare branches that I usually have. I only wish that I had left the light strings on the tree. Next year I'll know.
I think that it looks sweet in our living room and gives a touch of red to our decor. Red is my favorite color...it makes me happy. A red apple, red dress, red car, a child's rosy red cheeks, red barns etc. Anything to bring more color into our lives during this time of the year. Just think how pretty a red cardinal is against the snowy landscape. What do you do to decorate for Valentine's Day?

I have to admit I have done nothing thus far. But you have inspired me and I may do some decorating after all.
I love what you've done with your tree & darling Valentine's. It is so sweet.
I don't decorate for V'day. I rarely touch anything until Christmas arrives. I like things just the way they are ... tho I do change my door wreaths.

Love your little tree. I have not got mine decorated yet BECAUSE I left the lights on and so many burnt out that they need replaced..not a fun job! Love the paper ones, those are so cute!

Mercy, Balisha! I have hearts all over the place. No rush to remove them after Valentines Day either. Hearts can stay indefinitely right? At least most of them. Some of them? :)
I had my Valentines tree up and the kids sort of teased me so I put it in the garage. Hmmm...think I'll go get it and bring it back. I think perhaps I tend to "overdo" things around here! :) I love your little heart decorated tree! LOTS!
Thankyou for your friendly comments on my little tree. It looked so bare sitting in the corner of the breakfast nook, that I took pity on it and decorated it a bit. Then I moved it into the living room. I got the idea from a friend of mine, who has a small tree that she decorates for all the holidays. She just had her tree decorated with blue lights and snowmen. Very cute.
