IT WOULDN'T BE CHRISTMAS FOR JOE... WITHOUT HIS VERY FAVORITE CHRISTMAS DECORATION...HIS BUBBLE LIGHTS...
IT WOULDN'T BE CHRISTMAS WITHOUT THIS PAPER MOBILE...MADE THE YEAR MY SON WAS BORN...1968. I HAVE TAKEN SPECIAL CARE OF HIM. HE'S SO FADED NOW.. GINGERBREAD BOYS...A FEW OF MANY IN MY KITCHEN...
A LITTLE WOODEN MANGER.. SNOWBABIES ON THE BATHROOM SHELF...
MORE SNOWBABIES ON THE LOWER SHELF...
A SPARKLING SNOWMAN WITH BIRDS NEAR THE WINDOW BY THE BIRD FEEDERS...
A FIBER OPTIC SNOWMAN WHO LOOKS LIKE POPCORN...
These are just a few of the things that we use to make our home Christmasy. Combining two homes gave us way to many Christmas decorations. We have boxes of decorations in the basement that we don't use. Also...several trees. We compromised on our decorating and only use the ones that are special to us. This was one of the hardest things for us, that first Christmas together. I wanted all my things out and so did he. After that first year, we realized it couldn't be like it always was.. in the past. We had to make our own traditions as a couple. I think that we have done pretty well.

It sure looks like you did, Balisha! It's lovely!
We did the same thing, combined two households and have tons of stuff. I am editing it this year and not getting it all out. Yours looks wonderful.

How wonderful Balisha! Your son's Santa mobile is precious, and you've kept it in really amazing condition.
It's really nice to have the house decorated with both of our things. In the past I was married to a man who didn't care about decorating the house...it was pretty much up to me to do my thing. So, saying this, I was surprised that Joe cared so much about the decorating. It was tough, but we worked it out.
Linda...that little mobile is just made of construction paper.
