A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year from Balisha

We went across the street to our neighbors to spent New Year's Eve. We went over about 4 in the afternoon. Kelly had the table set with all kinds of appetizers. Salmon pate, mushroom pate, ham salad, cheeses and crackers, blackened shrimp, dips and some I'm sure I'm forgetting. I took a plate of shrimp appetizers over. We had a fun time with our conversation going from an argument about which is better the old cartoons or the new ones. We ended up talking about the Mafia. What a range of conversations. Aggie, the dog, was busy playing with her shadow and carrying a jelly bean around the house. Dan brought up a bottle of champagne before we left and we toasted the New Year. We were tired and got into our comfortable clothes and just plopped in front of the TV. PBS had a fairly new Frank Sinatra show and then it was Paul McCartney at the White House. Some pretty good programs for a change on New Year's Eve. We went to bed just before midnight...went to sleep listening to the young ones down the street shooting off fireworks.

Recipe for shrimp appetizers

pat 1 can pillsbury cresent rolls in a 9 by 13 pan and bake until browned.

When cooled top with a mixture of 1 lg. pkg of cream cheese and 1/2 cup sour cream. Add 1 tbs dill weed to this mixture. (You won't use all this mixture...it could be cut in half.)

Spread on top of pastry.

Cut in small squares and top with shrimp sauce and some chopped green onions. Then top with 1 lg cooked shrimp. Sprinkle with dried parsley.

What's shrimp sauce??

Red shrimp sauce in a bottle in the catsup aisle. It looks like a chili sauce bottle..... or you can make it using chili sauce, horseradish, lemon juice, and worcestershire sauce.

Happy New Year to both of you too.

Since I don't have TV I watched the Time Square ball dropping live online. Then watched a movie and went to bed. I can't even remember what movie I was watching. LOL Hugs
