This little "flower" made it's first appearance in my front garden last summer. There was one little plant...right where I had planted a pink poppy. This year there are several, and now I noticed these big seed pods ready to pop open. Is it a "Prickly Poppy?" The flower is sweet, but the foliage is not very pretty. It certainly isn't what I planted.Tell me if you know what this mystery plant is. Is it a weed? BalishaA Sentiment
God knew what He was doing
when He sent a gentle breeze
and brought a lovely butterfly
to set my heart at ease.
The happiness of your friendship
and the gentleness of your words
have touched my life in special ways
and now I feel assured.
Thank you for your loyalty
and for reading everyday.
I only hope you find things
to make a happy day.

I like it. But then I like unusual surprises. Have a great day.
I put the picture on Daves Garden I should know what it is by tomorrow!
I have the same plant in my flower bed. I don't know what it is either. I also had planted some poppy seeds earlier. The plant didn't grow exactly where I planted the seeds.
I posted your picture on my facebook and my niece found it.
Hibiscus trionum.
