A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

Go For The Color

I've posted about these orange lilies before, but here I am thinking about them again. I'm in the process of ordering some spring bulbs with some friends from Church. I have these lilies pretty much in every garden around the house. Joe loves them. They have started to grow on me. It would be too much work for me to dig them up and put them in a place of their own...so I am trying to make them blend in with other colors. I am a huge fan of the Angelique tulip. I think that they are so beautiful. I usually don't plant tulips because of the leaves that have to be left till they turn brown. The ones that I have are in beds that have lots of other foliage to hide them. The question that is going around in my brain is this..... Should I order the Angeliques that are pinkish, or go with the new orange Angelique. It caught my eye in the catalog. I really love this color. I was thinking that maybe I should embrace the color orange and put different shades in spots to tone down the bright orange.

My daffodils are the first ones to bloom. They are all in shades of yellow. There are so many different colors now...some have orange centers and some have a pale orange color in their petals. Maybe I should add some of these to the clumps that I already have. Just writing about this has made me think about it again and helped me to make up my mind. I'm a gardener for pete's sake....gardeners try new things. Get out of your pink rut Balisha and go for the color.

Go for the orange...my very favourite colour in the garden. :-) Your ideas would make wonderful companions for those lilies.

I say go for the brighter colors. I know you will, I can tell! lol. That baby is just a little bitty doll. I just love babies. I hope your son is doing o.k. and you have a good weekend.

Hi Balisha,

I like this idea. I think part of the fun of gardening, is that you can change things up. I look forward to seeing lots of orange in your garden next year :-)

I am trying to get some orange in my garden too Balsiha although I am not fond of the color. There are some oranges I like though. I think your lilies are pretty. I love Angelic tulips but I never knew they had them in orange. They would be pretty with your lilies.
Have a terrific weekend and I hope you are having this cooler weather too.
