A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

Thoughts Before Surgery

I woke up early this morning...

waiting for the sun to peek through the blinds...

Weatherman was wrong again....

Look at Joe...sleeping...

Tiptoe out of the room...

Go to my favorite "thinking chair"

Say a prayer that everything turns out well...

Joe finds me and the day begins.

Laundry, breakfast (his favorite), cleaned the

stove, microwave, counters, laundry, watered

houseplants, fed hanging baskets, swept the floor,

tidied the frig, made the bed, blogged, read emails,

took mail to mailbox, went to clean Joe's bathroom,

saw his little bag all packed sitting on the floor... and fell apart.

I know he'll be OK, and I do have my faith to count on,

but we've had so long to think about this and tomorrow

at this exact time....he will be rolled into the OR. Guess

I should get back to work, so I can put this out of my mind.

Today will go fast and the waiting will be over.

I just "met" you by happening in from Mona's blog, but from a faraway stranger---my very best thoughts and prayers for you both for tomorrow.

My own sweetheart is still recovering a bit from his own surgery, and I know how the thought of another person's good wishes and thoughts can lift your heart.

Have you and Joe in my thoughts and prayers. It is harder when it's someone you love who is in for surgery than when it's yourself.

Best Wishes being sent you way.

Each day we are in our Father's hands. I am reminded each day of His love for me when I see the beauty around me and meet beautiful people. Be at peace and I will pray as well... Psalm 23..

Oh Balisha,

My prayers are with both you and Joe. I agree with Pat that it is so much harder when it is a loved one going through surgery in some ways. God will support and sustain you both :-)

Hi Balisha, guess it wouldn't be normal not to worry. When I had a very simple procedure, I was very frightened. I looked at it the same way you are--this time tomorrow it will be over and everything will be OK.
Hugs and best wishes going out to Joe.

Thanks to all of you for your concerns and prayers. I'm just home from the hospital and Joe is doing well. The doctor told us that everything went as he expected. Thanks again, Balisha
