A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

This and That on a May Morning

Good morning,

Today is the day that Joe goes for his epidural. Keep your fingers crossed that it works.

The day started out with a little thunderstorm and 1/2 in of rain. I breathed a sigh of relief...we don't have to go to Church to water the garden. It's really more than Joe and I can do. We have to take care of the plantings and the new grass seed too. Joe talked to someone yesterday and said that someone else would have to water the grassy area. I think that it has been this terribly, early, hot weather that has got us down. We've had to go over a couple of times a day. The flowers here at home, are needing attention too. I planted dusty miller in both places and found that they get limp as soon as they are dry. I have always thought that they were drought resistant. I drove up to the Church and there they were...all lying down on the ground. A little water and up they popped. Maybe I'm not giving them a chance. They may be sensitive until they get acclimated. Those wave petunias just love this excessive heat. They are flourishing.

Well, I am ready to go...tote all packed with knitting and a book. Also a Capri Sun lemonade and a package of trailmix.I will go and wait in the waiting room and be there to chauffer him home. The magazines in our doctor's office are horrible. They are all related to cars and business. Years ago, the reading material was so old at our family doctor's. I once joked with him that he had the same magazines that I read when I was pregnant... my child was a teenager at the time. I guess if you get good care...that's what matters...you don't go for the entertainment, but good grief couldn't they buy a Good Housekeeping?

Hi Balisha. I hope that Joe will get some relief with the shot. It must be the going thing now for the doctors office to have donated magazines as old as the hills. LOL! Hope your day goes smoothly.

Hoping that your husband will get some relief when today is done. I'm ready your blog and being envious of all you've gotten done in your garden. I haven't yet planted one annual as it seems the days I've had the time, the weather hasn't cooperated.

Balisha, I finally learned if I wanted to read something that was interesting to me while I waited, I would just have to carry it myself. Local daughter gives me her old "Better Homes and Gardens". They are kept in my car, and I take one or two in with me each time. When I leave I leave the magazine there for others. I have walked the floor the past 4 night with back pain, so Joe has been very much in my thoughts and prayers - you, too. Hope it all went well with good results.
