A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

The View Outside My Window

Here they are today...
Thought I'd share a couple of little pictures of these beautiful blooms....are you bored yet? It's been icy, with freezing rain, cold, dreary, and just plain nasty out all yesterday and through the night. I sat in my living room, last night, listening to the sleet against the skylight. We didn't venture out... as all the weather bulletins told of bad roads. As I look out my window this morning, I see a car at the bottom of the driveway across the street. The driveway is a steep incline and covered with ice. I guess they left the car at the bottom and crawled up the hill. A blogger friend asked if I would take some winter pictures of my home...You really wouldn't want to see it right now. The snow is piled along the roads...all dirty and clumpy. Sand from the trucks tossed up on the lawn. Branches are down, because of the wind. Garbage cans line the street. Don't think for one minute that I'm getting weary of winter...I love new snowfalls, sparkly snow in the sunshine, little rainbows across the landscape, fresh animal tracks across the lawn, little birds coming for food on a snowy day, kids,, red cheeked..playing and laughing while building a snowman, making snow angels in the snow, but this winter landscape that I'm experiencing is making me want to shut the curtains and just enjoy my flowers that you see above.

Hi Balisha, Your flowers both yesterday and today are beautiful. That rasberry colored one is so pretty. I have to come over here and check out how many days we have left till spring! It is raining like the sky is falling here. I did not realize it was falling so hard and went to get my haircut. I could barely see how to drive. I am dreaming of tomato plants, ripe tomatoes on the vine, and spring flowers!

Keep on dreaming, Judy. I checked your blog and found that you were posting recipes for your slow cooker. I got creative and started a soup of my own.Have a nice day...stay dry.

I want badly to plant an above ground veggie garden. Our yard is not huge and these contained gardens would be wonderful. I can't wait to get started. Soon...soon..
