A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

I have never done a book review here on my blog, but I just finished a delightful book, and I know that a lot of you would like it. I first heard about it on Marnie's blog. http://lilacsandroses.blogspot.com/ She told about it and when I saw it in a bookstore, I had to have it. This is a description of the book.....

Their husbands were gone, their families were grown, and the future stretched out before them like an unfulfilled promise…Tired of always dreaming and never doing, Cici, Lindsay, and Bridget make a life-altering decision. Uprooting themselves from their comfortable lives in the suburbs, the three friends buy a run-down mansion, nestled in the picturesque Shenandoah Valley. They christen their new home “Ladybug Farm,” hoping that the name will bring them luck.As the friends take on a home improvement challenge of epic proportions, they encounter disaster after disaster, from renegade sheep and garden thieves to a seemingly ghostly inhabitant. Over the course of a year, overwhelming obstacles make the three women question their decision, but they ultimately learn that sometimes the best things can happen when everything goes wrong…

I just loved this book. Most of us can relate to one of these women. It's been a fantasy of many women to start an adventure like this. Such an easy read, a book to sit on the porch with or take to the beach. I just can't say enough about it. It's a book that you would lend to a friend, but would want it back, so you could read it again.

Balisha, I have to search out this book as this is exactly something I would do, given the opportunity.

I think that it's a dream of many people...even men, to just let loose and see what we could accomplish.Women seem to have such loyal friends though...all pulling for each other and rejoicing in another's accomplishments.I think you would enjoy the book, Keewee.

I am not much of a book reader but that sounds good. I am know for walking around the yard with a head set on listening to a good book while I work.Wonder if it is on CD!!! I think I'm going to check. I just have a hard time sitting down for any length of time... LOL

Thanks for sharing about the book. I've been on my own adventure this weekend...called mowing the yard. But my elephant ear has come to life. It's the first one I've ever had. I planted two more today. We'll see if they make it.
