This is my tiny crabapple tree. The little girl next door wanted me to hang the strawberry bird house on a branch. It's really too big for the tree, but I can't remove it...she looks for it whenever she comes over.
This is a little statue that used to be in my mother-in-laws garden. It is worn and very old. My husband wanted me to paint it and fix it up, but it's too precious to touch. I love the old worn statues. I love old cemeteries because of this. He kind of looks like he's in a cloud.
This is a fairly new angel. She looks cold in the snow. I am wishing for a bigger one. Do you love angels as much as I do? She is sitting under my new Redbud tree.
Here is Saint Fiacre...the patron Saint of gardeners. Someday I will tell you the story about him. My hubby gave me this last year.
I think that everyone knows Saint Francis. Such a gentle caring face. He makes me feel good just being there. I have tiny bulbs planted at his base.
My bench looks cold. I like the pattern the snow makes on the seat. It is one of the resting places in our yard when we mow. Sometimes I pack a lunch and hubby and I have a little picnic. I sit there and usually in just a few minutes someone comes to sit with me. A neighbor lady or little Audra...my garden helper, my daughter sat with me there too. I'm looking forward to sharing this bench with someone this summer.
Well, my Sunday stroll is over....back to the front yard and I give a wave of thankyou to our faithful snowplower. What would we have done without him this winter. He is out there before we wake up and is still going by in the evening.
That's it folks for this Sunday. We have Mass and today is a big day for our Church and new Priest. The Bishop will be here for our confirmation. Everything is fresh and spic and span. Soon it will be Lent. My the time flies.

You have such wonderful statues in your yard. They give such character to a snowy landscape. I cannot blame you for not wanting to paint the little girl, she looks so antique the way she is. Hoping that soon all of the snow will be over and gone.

I love angels in the garden too! They just feel right! Yours are charming, but please don't touch that old one from your in-laws garden. It is just special the way it is!
Hi Lona and Sheila,
The really old one will never be touched by a paintbrush. I used to bring them in during the winter, but they are heavy and I love seeing them in the snow.I have a Virgin Mary, that I painted. She's in the garage waiting to be refurbished. I wish now that I had never painted her.
Very nice photos...At least you actually stepped outside for a stroll and got some fresh air. Good for you!
I enjoyed seeing all the statues. I need some for my big empty yard.
I just cannot believe the snow everyone has but us. The statues are precious! I only have my little girl with the umbrella. I am wondering what the story is on the one pretty statue you mentioned. Your husband gave it to you last year? Tell us. What is the story. :)
Thank you for your comment on Mele. No change.
I agree. I would not paint the statue that your mother had either.
:) It looks aged and lovely.

Balisha I am catching up on reading. I love your statues. I have a number of them in my yard.
Love angels. I have one from my mother's yard. She passed away 9 years ago. Also have St Francis.
We have such similar interest. Enjoy your sharing.
