A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

A variety of topics.

These are two pictures of the lake property that my daughter owns. As you can see
there is a lot of grass that needs to be mowed. Hopefully the wild flower garden will lessen her work. I forgot to click to make the pictures bigger....Oh, Well, old age is a good excuse.

Today is going to be a busy one. I have been organizing everything around here. I think that ....even though it is a nice, cool day....I will be in the basement part of the day. I keep some of my extra clothes down there in bins. I changed closets last week and now I think that I will pull the Christmas ( now don't give me any grief about how excited I get about Christmas) stuff out to the front...go through it...and get it handy for me. While doing that I will go through boxes and get things ready for Good Will.

I will probably work in the garden this afternoon, when it warms up. I want to pull up the weeds that have invaded the mulched areas. Cut some things down and maybe put the seeds down in the woods.

My daughter has a lake house in Wisconsin. It is a new place for her and she has been trying to decide what to do with the landscaping. She lives in DC and spends as much time as she can in Wisconsin. She hired a landscaping company to plant a wildflower garden on the property and also do some planting of the lake front. They told her that it will be kind of messy for a year or two, but with patience it will be nice. She is trying to get something that is easy to care for and not require a lot of maintenance. I am anxious to see what comes of this. I think it will be perfect for her area...she loves birds and butterflies and they will love what she does.

I need to be getting my winter clothes ready too. Won't be much longer I'm afraid.

Wouldn't it be nice if the weather stayed warmish into November this year? When I first moved back to the Rkfd area, it was so mild that there was a rose blooming at Bob's Hardware in Dec. Unbelievable!

Hi Marnie,
It's really cool today. Our house is actually cold. First time I have worn sweats this year.
I heard that the weather is going to get warmer soon.
