A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

Just Can't Let Christmas Go

I have this basket of Christmas books on my coffee table. It still sits there...I hate to put these away. The basket if full of Christmas poetry, recipes, stories, and pictures. I have collected theese throughout the years. Friends have given me a couple of them...I love books for a gift. I love to give them and receive them. A favorite gift for me would be an Amazon gift card...to sit here and go through the many, many selections. I even love used books...and I always look to see if a used book is offered at a much cheaper price.
Here it is...after Christmas and I went to the library and picked up some reading material and movies. Wouldn't you know it...I picked out a Christmas book. I guess I just can't get enough Christmas.

You sound like me, Balisha, and I like your idea of the basket full of a Christmas collection. I noticed the title of the book from the library. We had a Christmas wedding; not on Christmas day, but on the twenty-second which was the Saturday before that Christmas. Just celebrated our 55th. We have been fortunate to have been allowed such a long run. We are getting our first snow today, but it doesn't seem to be a very serious one.

I love your season book collection. Books are easily my favourite gift too. At the moment we have a charity book stall in the staffroom at work. Everyday I'm tempted and many days I succumb! Jx

We still have some Christmas decorations up. I took down some that were on the patio yesterday and hubby had already taken down the outdoor lights.

Inside I have our poinsettia and a little Norfolk Island pine hubby and our daughter bought on one of their many trips to the grocery store Christmas weekend. I love having the sparkle and glitter and red and green out. It is cheerful, but it is getting to be time to put it away until next year.

Happy New Year, Balisha

I need to tell Amazon not to sell me anymore books. They are piled everywhere :) Need to take time to sit still and read. How in the world can One Woman stay so busy inside ?

My friends give me Amazon kindle books now! I love my kindle.

I am in the process of selling all my books on Amazon. That will save my kids from having to do it.

Balisha, I am afraid I have just about dismantled Christmas. We began very early this year and just felt worn out by the end of the holiday. I think we will make it a little simplier next year.

Hi jan,
I can lose myself in a book store. That's the first place you'd find me at a yard sale.

Hi Amber.
I think that Norfolk Pines are so pretty. We have a couple at Church for after Christmas decorations are taken down. They can really get big. A friend of mine had one that reached the ceiling. They used it for their Christmas tree.

Hi Ernestine, When you let Amazon know, please give them my name too.I seldom go to a bookstore...I guess that's why they are slowly going out of business.

Hi Margie,
I sold so many of my books when Joe and I married. Now I wish that I had some of those back.

Hi Eileen,
Your decorations were so beautiful. I think that we readers all enjoyed seeing you put up yet another tree. I guess as we get older, we have to scale down. Sometimes after a year, we change our minds and do the same thing over. I swore that I was going to cut down and slow but sure, I brought out a few things each day.
