A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

Welcoming October

October's Party

Author: George Cooper
October gave a party;
The leaves by hundreds came-
The Chestnuts, Oaks, and Maples,
And leaves of every name.
The Sunshine spread a carpet,
And everything was grand,
Miss Weather led the dancing,
Professor Wind the band.

The Chestnuts came in yellow,
The Oaks in crimson dressed;
The lovely Misses Maple
In scarlet looked their best;
All balanced to their partners,
And gaily fluttered by;
The sight was like a rainbow
New fallen from the sky.

Then, in the rustic hollow,
At hide-and-seek they played,
The party closed at sundown,
And everybody stayed.
Professor Wind played louder;
They flew along the ground;
And then the party ended
In jolly "hands around."

I am way behind Balisha. I am wondering where August went. LOL! I love the Fall colors but hate to think about what comes next. I will be so ready for those bulbs to open next spring. Thoughts of dynamite and drills will have disappeared. LOL! I got the picture from Jeri yesterday and of course it was beautiful.Now I am on the hunt for a frame.I was so excited to win one. Have a wonderful weekend. It is a cold wet one here.

Balisha, I am behind you also.
Leaves have not started to turn in Northern Tennessee.
But soon.
Looking out your window is beautiful.
