Anthony's 14 yrs old

We had a birthday party to go to yesterday. My son's wife's grandson would turn 14 this week. He and my son have lots of the same interests. One of them being...different kinds of pets. His name is Anthony. My son Tim, always had an array of pets.. including a rat named Willer. He and Anthony have so much fun together...collecting and caring for these animals. As you can see...the birthday boy has a snake named Monty. Monty Python. Every time we see them the boy and snake have grown. He feeds the snake mice from the pet store. Then there is the pit bull named Coco. She is a gentle dog who obeys commands and is not your typical pit bull. She sometimes has polish on her nails...the color she chooses is pink. A pit bull with pink toenails... There was a lot of food on the table for snacking, but she never took anything off the table. She just looks at you with those sad eyes and you know she wants her baby carrot dipped in veggie dip. If you offer her a plain carrot...she won't eat it.

This is the newest member of the family...a hedgehog. I was sitting on the couch and Anthony was on the floor next to me.. I had no idea what he had wrapped in the towel. Taking a closer look...I saw this little ball of, what I thought, was fur. After he was put on the floor...the cutest little head appeared. I fell in love with this little creature. He's not at all shy...

Well, kids are all so different. They have so many different interests....that's what makes them so interesting to talk to. He and Tim enjoy fishing together...they have a place near their house, where they catch lots of fish. His newest hobby is paint balling. He got several things for paint balling for gifts this year. Anthony is doing great in school and has been invited to travel next year to several foreign countries with students from his school. He is on the honor roll, has a paper route, loves to do yard work for extra money. He sometimes has the driveway plowed before my son comes home from work, in the winter. We enjoyed the pizza party with this interesting kid. I hope he continues on with his love for animals.
