A Sentiment
God knew what He was doing
when He sent a gentle breeze
and brought a lovely butterfly
to set my heart at ease.
The happiness of your friendship
and the gentleness of your words
have touched my life in special ways
and now I feel assured.
Thank you for your loyalty
and for reading everyday.
I only hope you find things
to make a happy day.

Summer Storm
Sitting here at my computer and listening to the far away rumble of thunder. Joe says to me, "Balisha, is that thunder?" I replied, "I think so." It's getting closer now with rumbles coming more often. It reminds us of the days when we were young...summer storms coming in like this. We would run to the house and put on our bathing suits, get our umbrellas, in case Mom would let us go out and play in the rainwater after the storm. It was the most exciting thing in the summer back then. Building dams in the gutters, sailing our paper boats, filling cups under the downspouts, watching the water woosh down the side of the road and into the sewer, yes, and even fishing in the sewer. We haven't had a summer storm lately...they always come with storm warnings and wind and scary things like that. I'm going out to the porch and watch this summer storm come in. Maybe some of our neighbor kids will come out and splash in the puddles...Balisha

When I was young my Grandfather had a grocery store and my mom worked there. Of course I was there as well...and I remember playing in the puddles with my girlfriend until we were both soaking wet. We knew where the biggest puddles were of course! This brings back memories of fun times!
Ah yes...I remember. Great times!
Have fun!
You had a fun mother we were not allowed in the mud.
Cathy
I do remember sitting on the front porch waiting for the lightning to pass so that we could play in the water running down the gutter.
