When the cakes were out of the oven and cooled a bit, she rang the doorbell. She came in and the table was set with frosting, the most important...sprinkles of all colors, and an assortment of spreading knives. She selected her knife and started frosting.
She put one color of sprinkles on ...then another....then another....then another. She said her family was really fond of sprinkles. Then came the candles. I thought each cupcake would get one or two, but she had different ideas. They all went on Mom's. She said, "We can't put candles for each year...my Mom is very old." Her Mom must be in her 30's

Here are the cupcakes. One for each in the family. Her Dad is on a diet, so he may not eat one. We walked across the yard and went in the family room, where Mom was folding laundry. She was so surprised. We picked up a couple of more kids in the yard, so the Happy Birthday song was boisterous. Then I came home and we decorated some more cakes for the kids playing in the yard. It was so much better than working in the basement. It brought back memories of my little girl. We made cupcakes, when she was small. I'm sure they were loaded with sprinkles. We made many cakes with her easy bake oven. Her brother was her sampler...she made him layer cakes. It took so long to bake many layers, but it was fun. They loved the easy bake and also kool ade stands in the summer. Those times are just memories now, but I have a little one next door to remind me.

Oh how very sweet of you to make the cupcakes for all, Balisha! That little child is an angel too. Life needs sprinkles. :-)

It sounds like you had a wonderful day. What a precious little neighbor you have. I still like a cupcake with sprinkles. They are not just food, they are fun in a wrapper. Blessings to you.
I love the comment Frances made...Life needs sprinkles..so true. This little girl brightens our day...we love to have her come over to visit. She only stays about a 1/2 hour. One time she said, "I just came over to check on you." School starts soon and then we will not see her so often.
Sometimes it is the simplest of things that will bring you and others the most pleasure. Your unselfishness in giving up your time brought much happiness to others, I'm sure.
