A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

New Year's Eve

Here we are...2014 another year ahead of us. What will it bring? Are we ready? We have no choice...it is here and we will soon be in the thick of it. But first let me tell you about how we celebrated last night.
The first thing that we did was don our party hats.
I asked my favorite man...does this hat make me look fat?
He chuckled then and told me that I looked so very cool..
I hoped it didn't make me look just like a fool.
We laughed and tipped a bottle.. of bubbly in our glass..
I learned this a long while ago, when I was still a lass.
Some friends came to the front door, I brought them in the house.
We tip toed to the bedroom as quiet as a mouse.
There was hubby Joe... just dancing to and fro..
He had his walker with him...he dipped so very low.

We played some cards and watched the tube..while eating some hors d'oeurves.
We laughed so much that soon... it was getting on  my nerves.
The clock rang 12 and all of us cheered the new year  bright..
They grabbed their coats and through the snow they went into the night.
Now, if you believe this story....you really should read on..
If truth be told we spent the night with just the TV on.
We laid around and watched the shows till just past the stroke of 9
We drank some milk and had some cake and then we did recline..
We slept straight thru with snowplows in our drowsy dreams..
We woke this morn at half past 7....still kind of tired it seems..
We said Happy New Year to each other while thinking in our minds..
We're looking forward to a new year...we hope it will be kind.

So Happy New Year everyone...may it be a year of peace, joy, good health, and maybe a little fun mixed in.
Balisha ;)

Happy New Year!

My hubby woke me up at 11:15 pm so we could see in the new year awake. Ha!

Today, snow. I hope it's a sign of more moisture this year.
