A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

The Elf

This is one of the little elves we have at our house. They belong to Joe, although I remember having them when I was a girl. One year I had two of them climbing a small table tree. I had a little plastic ladder and one of them was climbing the ladder and the other hanging on for dear life from the tippy top of the tree. We always hang one on our TV and then we dangle one on Joe's lamp by his chair. Deb from  deb @ frugal little bungalow wanted to see a close up. I just happened to have one in my stash of pictures.
Hope this brings back a memory for you, Deb.

The Elf on the shelf. I have no elves. I wonder why I don't--he sure is cute.

He is so cute, and yes very similar to the ones that my mom had when I was little ! :)

One of my son's friends got Elves last year for her children, named Wink and Trixie. Every day in December she posted something that Wink and Trixie did on Facebook.

She's back at it this year and it is fun to see. Yesterday Wink and Trixie put out Christmas Mugs and a package of Hot Chocolate for the kids to see in the morning.

She'll do this every day...those children will have such memories of their Christmases when they were little! :)
