A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

My Early Morning Thoughts

Fall is a season that I have to ease into. I feel my body start to pick up the rhythm that was lost during the hot summer. In summer...sometimes I move like a sloth, but once the leaves fall and there is a crispness in the air...this sloth like body starts to change. There comes a slight spring in my step. ...and urgency to get things done. The outside work is pulling me to finish. At the end of summer...I relaxed on the porch with iced tea...no hurry, it will get done tomorrow. A leaf drops and it is tomorrow and I start to hurry. The need to squirrel away food for other days is on my mind. Is my freezer full? What if we have a blizzard?...I must be prepared. (we've never been housebound for more than 2 days) Do I have enough books to read....crafts to do if I want? What about Christmas? How will we decorate? Wreaths to make. Cookies to bake. Gifts to buy. Plans for visiting during the holidays. All these things spur me on as I see the leaves fall. My body has eased into this season and is ready for late fall and all it brings. So, as I sit here this morning, I tell myself, "Just relax, the word is ease. Ease into things like a sloth that has awakened. Go slow, so that you enjoy each day. Don't hurry...it will all get done. Put a jacket on. Sit on your porch, Balisha, on these beautiful fall days. Watch the leaves fall. Change from iced tea to hot tea and just enjoy."

We are rushing towards winter! We still have plenty of leaves on the trees, I fear they will drop all at once! Love your photo, such a pretty tree!

LOVE IT, as I am a summer sloth too ( do not like the heat / humidity ) and you have described it aptly! ;)

Good advice! I feel a bit better with the crispness in the air, as heat and humidity wear me down. I need to go for a walk today. I am more a slug then a sloth, LOL.

Love your tree, not much color here as of yet.
Would love to take a long walk
but with cane - still not comfortable...

This is currently my personal mantra: There is time. What needs to get done will get done - it always does. What I am doing this moment is what I am meant to do.

I like your word "ease." I have been feeling everything but ease. Something had to change because I have been wearing myself out with worry and anxiety. I started taking it one moment at a time this week, and I'm feeling better.
Balisha, may you feel peaceful and at ease ~

I love fall too. Here in Kansas the leaves are just beginning to turn. It's been a strange summer and a start to an even stranger fall. I wonder if we will have a hard winter?

2010 was a doosy!

Thanks to everyone for reading and taking time to comment. As we near Halloween, things start to grab us from every direction. Christmas commercials have already started and stores are getting decorated. I hope we all can just "ease" into this crazyness and relax. Enjoy the colors while they are here...Balisha
