A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

Relax...It's Sunday!

Sun shining brightly... I came out to just putter around and do some things that I wanted to do. I had just had breakfast and talked to my daughter on the phone, went and dressed in an outfit  that I love that included my worn denim shirt  Then I headed for the garage and got my little bucket of garden tools....just in case :) It feels like a fall day and one thing leads to another. Do you find yourself moving from one job to another, without ever planning to do things? We have had rain, so nothing needed watering. I looked at my roses and thought they were so pretty...then decided that I would like to have my picture taken with them. Joe was more than happy to assist. He got the wanted shot and then I went to sit down and relax. He caught me resting in  my old green chair. Kind of how I work...work a little...sit a little. Some days it's more sit than work. I find that gardening is relaxing and meditative for me. We are taught in Church to rest on Sunday.Christians are taught to create regular intentional spaces of time when we don't work, email, clean or do laundry. What's up with cooking??? Even our minds should be quiet...allowing ourselves to relax and remember why we keep the Sabbath.I guess I would be forgiven for relaxing in my garden. It gives me the time I need to calm myself and enjoy God's world.
Have a nice Sunday...

I also have a sweater on :)
Your roses are beautiful.
None here as the one bush that is left - the beetles devoured, also some of my herbs...

What lovely photos of you in the garden. Nice when you can just 'putter' in the garden and see what there is to do without a big task waiting or watering to do. Enjoyed not having to haul water here today. Your roses are beautiful!

You are so pretty!!! The pix of you in your chair looks like me. I drag my chair from spot to spot because I never know when my back is going to say, "STOP. REST." Too rainy here today to do a thing--so I kept the Sabbath--kind of.

That is a beautiful picture of you with your lovely roses.

I think you work very hard taking care of your garden. You certainly deserve a little rest in between tasks!
