A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

The Concert

Sitting in the living room...watching the news, we heard a rap at the door. I leaned forward in my chair and saw Audra at the door. It was her birthday day before yesterday and I left her gift at her door, because they weren't home. She had come over to thank us. Her best friend Bella was spending the night, so she came along. Audra asked if she could play the organ. We went and opened it up and she and Bella sat on the bench and started to play.
When they played the Cha Cha...they really got into it. Bella ran and got the maracas and the two of them were swaying with the rhythm that they were creating. We talked about what they were going to do last night at the sleepover...Bella said maybe it would be a Spa Sleepover...doing nails, hair, putting their feet in the bath tub. They both giggled at that. They told me about their birthday cakes. Bella's birthday was yesterday. Bella had a flip flop cake and Audra had a chocolate fudge.
I opened the bench and found some numbered sheet music. The notes have letters that correspond with the little chart on the keys. They picked out, When the Saints Go Marching In By the time they had to go home, they were playing a duet of that song. These two little girls are so full of fun. We love to have them visit. They always make a stop at the candy dish before they leave.

The energy the little ones project is great. When my little granddaughter's are visiting it is laughter and fun time...
Good for us.

Joe and I are like an extra set of Grandparents for the kids next door. I understand that moms and dads are so busy now days and sometimes a kid just needs to talk to someone. That's where we come in. They love to hear about the "old days" My grand kids were the same way...always getting a chuckle out of things that we didn't have when we were young.
