A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

Waiting Till Lent is Over

This is a continuation of my last post. Waiting....It seems that the little snow bunny and I are still waiting for Lent to be over...to get into this box of delicious candy...that my son and his wife sent for my birthday. It's been a good test of my beliefs...giving something up that I really enjoy for Lent. I believe that every time we want what we have given up, we are reminded of what Christ gave up for us. Christ gave his life. While our sacrifice pales in comparison, it serves as a frequent reminder of God's overwhelming and complete love for each of us in our season of preparation for the resurrection. So, with that in mind, it is only a short time before Lent is over. I'm finding that I don't crave this the same way I did before Lent.....that's not to say that I will not enjoy this treat, but maybe this time, I will savor it more.

Today--in the ninth hour--the light of the world was extinguished. I am so glad we didn't live back then and only had our sorrow and despair. Can you even imagine how Mary must have felt? Today, we know that Easter is coming! A time of resurrection--of life renewed. We are so lucky!

Your candy will taste even better after Lent. It is good for us to be reminded of all that Jesus did for us and how thankful we are because He did. You have a Blessed Easter weekend. Then dig into that candy girl. LOL!
