A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

Acrobat At My Feeder by Balisha

Little squirrel friend of mine... with little tiny ears..
His ears are tipped with snow white fur...I wonder if he hears?
He watches me most everyday while I sit here at my desk..
I wonder if he knows that I think he is the best?
When at last he looks at me and thinks that I'm OK..
He turns his back to me just then... a move that is to say..
I guess you are OK... as humans go ...you're neat..
I'll have to trust you just this once...I have a meal to eat.
I look away and then turn back and see his final move..
He stretches out and then hangs down... his movements are so smooth.
He grabs a seed and looks at me and stuffs it in his cheek,
And then he eats as if it is his final meal this week.
I say to Joe, "He'll find a way to tear this feeder up.
I know from my experience what to expect from this wee pup."
Then Joe gets up from his chair... that sits across from me..
He goes to scare my pal away...it works.. the squirrel flees.
He has a look that says to me...it worked and that's a fact.
Little does he know that my friend will soon be back.
He'll wait until we leave the room to come again to eat.
Very soon this little squirrel's job will be complete.
He'll chew the plastic from the feeder... this is what I know..
We'll come back to see what he has done and miss his little show.
Today as I go about my many tasks I do each day..
I'll check on this wee furry friend and watch him as he plays.
It is a game you know my friends..between animal and man..
My money's on the acrobat...I am his biggest fan.

I know what you mean. We have the same "show" here. But, they are so cute!

How clever Balisha. Our squirrels raid the bird food too.

In answer to your question (seems ages ago now!) husband legs healing slowly but well and he is back to normal.
