A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

Look What's Blooming

Look what's blooming at my house. This is the famous Red Lion Amaryllis. What a vibrant color...just in time for holiday decorating. I put this bright bit of color on the window seat in the computer room, so I can enjoy it when I am writing a post. This is the easiest flower to grow in the house. If you get a large bulb from a greenhouse...you will have success. I've had them from the big box stores and some flower and some don't. I love to have flowers all during the winter, so I save my Amaryllis from year to year. This is a new one, but I have several waiting to come up from the basement.

Oh it is lovely! I am still holding my breath over whether my amaryllis are going to bloom. I may turn blue and pass out first. LOL!
Looks like all I am going to get again are leaves. ;-(

Balisha,
It is lovely! When did you plant it? I planted a pink one (from a box store) about three weeks ago and it just sitting there doing nothing. I hope I didn't get a big DUD!

Zoey...I don't remember exactly when I planted it...sometime between Thanksgiving and now. I should write it down. Balisha
