A Sentiment

God knew what He was doing when He sent a gentle breeze and brought a lovely butterfly to set my heart at ease. The happiness of your friendship and the gentleness of your words have touched my life in special ways and now I feel assured. Thank you for your loyalty and for reading everyday. I only hope you find things to make a happy day.

Roamy's First Morning Here

I woke up early this morning, before the sun had come up. I heard an unfamiliar noise in the breakfast nook. I was still sleepy and it hadn't registered yet that we had house guests. The patio door was ajar and as I looked out...there was Roamy, checking the rain gauge and the empty bird feeder. He hadn't slept well...different bed you know. We said our good mornings and I asked how he had slept..."Not to well," he said. We had storms during the evening and lots of rain. Our weather radio kept going off. I talked about our plans for the day, thinking that we would do something simple. Juliet and Ansel were still sleeping, so we went out and checked the hanging baskets. The one in the picture below was his favorite. They didn't need any water that's for sure.I think that Roamy has a bit of a green thumb.

I told him that I like to make up little poems and he asked if I would do one for him. Here it is.

Little Gnomes

The mailman brought a package small, I wondered what it was..

I left it there unopened for a day or two because..

My little friend Audra, who lives right next to me..

Was on a small vacation and I knew she'd want to see.

When we finally opened up the box.. we saw before our eyes..

A Gnome family in the tissue..what a nice surprise.

A little man and woman and a tiny baby there..

Would visit us this week, then travel on somewhere.

We have to make some plans for all of us to do..

I'll put on my thinking cap, then tell my plans to you.

The little Gnome is Roamy...he's been just everywhere..

I'll have to make these plans so quick...not much time to spare.

I think we'll keep it simple and do what old folks do..

I hope they like their visit and you all can follow too.
